John Scano
John serves as both Chief Development Officer and Chief AI Officer at Lookout. As CDO, he oversees all product development, cloud operations, compliance and IT bringing over 30 years of domain experience in platform technologies and a proven track record of building high-performance organizations. John joined Lookout in November 2014, opening the Boston development center and growing it from the ground up. His role expanded to lead a global organization of employees across San Francisco, Boston, Toronto, and India.
As CAIO, John provides executive-level AI leadership, driving AI strategy, implementation, and governance across the organization. His responsibilities include developing AI roadmaps aligned with business objectives, overseeing pilot programs and vendor selection, establishing AI governance and ethical standards, leading organizational AI adoption and upskilling, and defining KPI frameworks to measure AI-driven business impact.
Previously, John served in management and leadership roles at Nuance Communications, Juniper Networks, and other market-leading technology companies, where he led product development for speech recognition and networking products. John holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
